HTC VIVE — VIVERSE Home

Intro / Architecture + Space.

Role: Principal Designer — Spatial Product & Interaction Design
Focus: Social environments, interaction systems, generative features

I designed the VIVERSE Home, a personal spatial environment where users can invite friends, customize their surroundings, and spend time together.

The home functions as a flexible social environment, part living room and part personal gallery, where users can display images, watch media together, play simple activities like hoops, and shape the atmosphere of their environment. The architectural design emphasizes openness, creating a calm and welcoming place to gather.

Interaction Design — VIVERSE Pet.

To bring a sense of life and companionship into the space, I designed the VIVERSE Pet, an interactive virtual pet that responds to player behavior through a simple but expressive interaction system.

Users can throw a ball for the dog to fetch, pet and interact with it, and observe a range of playful animations and behaviors. The interaction flow defines how the pet responds to different player actions, creating a meaningful layer of character-driven interaction within the environment.

Generative Environments — AI Skyboxes

I also designed AI Skyboxes, allowing users to transform the atmosphere of their home by generating new environments from text prompts.

These prompts generate panoramic skybox textures that wrap the surrounding landscape, changing the ambient lighting, enabling users to create entirely new moods and settings for their space. From calm sunsets to surreal environments, the system gives users a simple way to personalize their home and explore generative creativity within VIVERSE.
